Dr. Garib-Sohan earned her Doctor of Pharmacy and Master of Business Administration degrees in 2004 and has worked as a full-time pharmacist ever since. Throughout her career, she has partnered with physicians, nurses, and patients to improve safety, quality of care, and health outcomes — holding multiple management roles along the way.
Her specialization in medication management for older adults — reducing medication-related risks and improving outcomes for those living with Alzheimer's and dementia — made her uniquely qualified to found a facility where pharmacy expertise is embedded into every aspect of care.
Most assisted living facilities rely on external pharmacy services. Affectionate Care is the only community in Richmond where the pharmacist is not just a consultant — she is the Founder, personally invested in every resident's outcomes, and available to optimize resident health and medication management.
